The Salvation Army is deeply saddened by the serious fire that occurred on November 26 at Wang Fuk Court in Taipo. We extend our heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives, and our sincere sympathy to their families and all affected residents.

Our Tai Po Integrated Service for Young People and Tai Po Multi-service Centre for Senior Citizens have already opened their doors to accommodate affected residents. The Salvation Army Recycling Programme has also delivered adult and children’s winter clothing, shoes, socks, and slippers to the Salvation Army Tai Po Integrated Service for Young People and Tung Cheong Street Sports Centre. In addition, Salvation Army officers have been present on-site to provide emotional support. We understand rebuilding lives after such a disaster is a long and difficult journey. To support this, The Salvation Army has launched the “The Salvation Army Emergency Relief: Support for Tai Po Residents Affected by the Fire”, and we earnestly call on the public to give generously. Your donations will be used directly for:

• Providing emergency financial assistance

• Supporting post-disaster recovery

• Offering professional psychological counseling services
